The party has moved from Le Souk to Moomia on Saturday nights. 2 floors of music and your favorite dj's spinning House, Euro, Electronika and World Anthems. Doesn't get any better than this.

Inside the NEST

In revamping the townhouse that for eighteen years was the Caribbean reggae/hip-hop club Demerara, Steve Lewis, the design top-dog behind Butter and Home, allowed himself just a couple of ostentatious flourishes—namely two copper light fixtures that simulate nests. The rest of the four-level space is pure minimalism: hardwood floors, cream-colored banquettes, and orange walls occasionally accented by framed canvases of Kevlar and wood.

The bottle-buying loungers, who range from Weinstein kids to actual celebrities on Tuesday nights (when the door is most tightly guarded), fight for seats on the mezzanine level, where they can look down, past feathered light globes, onto the floor below. But in truth, the place to seek out is the low-ceilinged, brick-walled basement accessible only to those in-the-know. An unmarked door in the hallway leads to another bar and DJ booth sure to keep things proper until the wee hours of the morning.
