House music is the force that drives me. House music to me is all types of music you can dance to. Hip-hop, 80's, 90's, 2000. I have Latin & Island Rythms as well. I will do a Corporate party and Special themes for your more private affairs.
When it all began, I had a passion to play music with no interest in reading the notes. Hated sheet music. I learned how to play instruments by ear. I changed instruments and teachers often, because of this rebelion to read kryptonite, I mean sheet music. From Percussion I jumped to the horns. From horns to strings and excetera. Deep down I thought I would learn more about music doing it my way. I did. Couldn't stand my classmates. Tone deaf and slow with no rythm, reading thier hearts out, not musicians at all. I don't think they ever made that connection one should make with sound when wielding it.
When I spin I imagine I am the composer and everytime I try to emulate what the composer had in mind. Music is sexual and sensual. And for those of you that disagree and think I am wrong music is nothing like your bedroom. When I am teaching others to spin I say to them "these are not simple tracks these are complex movements. These are the finer parts of your rich masterpiece. To make them sound beautiful together your transitions should be that of the careful process of love making." I couldn't think of anything else to compare it to..... ahem. So I was saying. "Be the match maker. Make love."
From this adult thought I have a unique sound all together. I hear people say I am an Alternative Dj because I play shit others wouldn't dare. So far I am pleasing to big spenders and party people and that should count for something. I am known to play all kinds of music, all types of ways just to keep my guests entertained. Yeah, I put on a show. 3 turntables running with 4 CD decks looping on a RANE and a sound system to reach out and touch my listners.

"Yes, you heard right. I don't make mixtapes. This is Spring Break Radio! Poolside never before with an after dark special, now hidden in a room at Gansevoort Hotel.
MyTUNES. I was like asked to make a Hip-hop CD for a Hotel and then they forgot to get back to me. I approached them on it. They tried to convince me that the didn't like it. They don't play hip-hop suddenly. They were looking for something else. One week later I am hanging out in the same place and I hear my set track for track. Inspiration?
I never recorded anything before because I didn't want something like this to happen. My friends are all like "man fucking record your shit." I won't make mixtapes. I will podcast from the hotels. Thinking about a truth or dare. I would like to see you ringtone this.
Ladies and Gentlemen. The tracks I have select are based on the moody moods of a New York crowd. When you play in New York you have a choice. You can make a mood or address one. Feedback is the tip. Don't listen to them but figure out a way to incorporate it. Lady says to me "can you play something good?" So I fell for it, I retort "What would you like to hear?" She was like "eh, something good." I guess whe was envisioning me in her flat hanging out messing around with her music collection because I haven't the slightest clue what the hell she might mean. "Take it off." I said to her with the devil in my eyes. She gave me this look and put her top in my hand. "Show me something good." I said holding the halter top from AA. She gave me the bra and said "I want to here some hip-hop." IN THE MIDDLE OF A HOUSE SET!!!!! Eh, mashed up some genius shit and got hip-house. I know I shouldn't be doing this in public.
Recording in a club is hard from the start because live music fails to have breaks to start from. You must maintain the vibe. So how does one start? I have figured out a few ways to start a cd. Live from Amber & Nikki's APT SBRv2. Thanks Amber & Nikki for everything. (I think they just invite me over so they can have a live soundtrack to thier blind-folded get-togethers.)
