Recently, I came up with an idea to Broadcast my sets on Radio. Breaking Hot97 and Power 105.1 signals on the weekends. Last week enough people came out to my clubs and got good parking tips, club line's info and hot pre-game/pre-club music to get them started.

I had some phone calls over the weekend concerning my last broadcast. "it was illegal..." then later on mentioning if it was possible to "purchase some airtime." People are so funny. I think it was cool telling people where it is safe to park for once. Club information like whats hot and whats not. Timing is everything when you're out with you friends at night in NY. Providing this info is a good idea. I haven't had time to look into Broadcasting to be a law breaker. There should be a law against the crap that is already on the radio.

I never liked the radio. So why get into it? The DJ's that spin on the radio bring about a baddefinition to dj'ing. No blends. No creativity. Scratching too much and yelling dj names over the tracks is a nightmare. You sit and wait for the looping and scratching to end or the DJ drops to stop. Radio should be smooth, with more tunes you want to hear. Because of this satelite radio has a chance, which presents another problem. So lock me in on the weekend. Dj Geld Downtown/Hot97 from 9 to 10:30pm. Midtown/Power105 from 10:30 to Midnight.

I am looking into better equipment, sponsers and stronger mobile units to blanket the city with my Stern'esk Pirate Radio.

Did you know that IPODs have broadcasting capability? They put out a signal of about 40 feet. It can be tweaked to do a little more. How many IPODs would I need to cover SOHO.

PODCASTING will start in JULY. I am on a "Save the VYNIL" campaign. Low fees will apply for production reasons. All dance compilation and a club remixes of chart toppers.

I am still playing Vynil. You should too. Save the VYNIL!!! Don't give up yet, the lap top djs are starting to have issues.
